She Loves Art Exhibition

I initiated this exhibition with cofounder of She Loves Collective Nelly Achkhen to promote and empower women artists locally from Los Angeles and globally. I led, managed and recruited all 40 women artists involved in this show that took place in HNYPT Downtown LA. The immense effort was praised by local newspapers including The L.A. Times and published on L.A. Weekly on the top ten list of weekend events in the city. The success was measure by the attendance of not only family and friends supporters but also by local artists, art critics and curators

Finding Her

After the success of She Loves Exhibition that coincided with the 'me too' women empowering movement, I decided to make a larger scale collaboration with Armenian women from across the globe. The mission is to bring together around 200 women artists and deconstruct the Armenian society's patriarchal system. While I also noticed that whenever I searched for Contemporary Armenian women artist, Google's search engine always resulted as narrow and shortlisted. My dedication is to give voice to the talented women in my community and make sure that the representation is accurate.
